Boredome...Homeade Playdough

Madelyn and I were both going a little stir crazy waiting for Ty to get home, so we whipped up a batch of homeade playdough. I got out her IKEA cookware and sat her at the table, and she had the best time, and even better, she sat there for almost an hour content as could be. For anyone interested, here is the recipe:
2 c. flour
1 c. salt
2 c. water
3 tsp. cream of tartar
2 Tbsp. oil
food coloring
Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Mix color, water, and oil in pan. Add dry ingredients to water in pan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until it pulls away from the sides. Dump out of pan and knead until soft. Store in refrigerator. Makes 12 good sized balls. (I halved the recipe for less).

A work of art!

Don't we all have shots like these when we were kids. Well, here's some of Madelyn thoroughly enjoying the chocolate pudding I gave her. Ty walked in from work to see this and said, "What are you letting her do?" I said, "She's painting in the pudding, and having a great time!"

Lily is here!

My sister Kristen had her 4th baby, and happy to be last baby on Monday, March 31st. She was 9 lbs. 7 oz. 22 inches long. Very round and chunky, but darling. She was born to three brothers who adore her. Madelyn and I went to see her and Madelyn did great. She wanted to hold the baby and be the big helper. She even went and got a diaper and wipes out of my bag for the baby. I now have hope that in 3 1/2 months, we'll be okay.
