Dinosaur Museum

Last week when it was so rainy we needed an out. Madelyn and I went to the Dinosaur Museum. That Thanksgiving Point pass has really come in handy. She had a great time...
looking at all the exhibits,
checking out the shark, smiling at the boys,
and digging in the sand for dinosaur bones.

July 14th is coming quickly!

When I saw my doctor last week, he said he would induce on the 14th if I haven't had the baby yet, which with the history from my last pregnancy, I won't be going into labor on my own...I guess you never know. However, I'm sort of stressing. Even though I want the pregnancy to be done, I'm not sure I'm ready to be a mom of two; that's just over six weeks away!

Fun with Family

Last week Ty's sister Alauna came with her husband Austin, and their 14 month old daughter Mary. We had a lot of fun shopping, going to baseball games, visiting Thanksgiving Point's Farm Country and Gardens, swimming, eating out, etc. I didn't get many photos, but here are a few of the highlights. Thanks guys for coming from Canada to see us, we'll see you in Banff at Christmas!

Madelyn riding the sheep

She couldn't wait to get on the horse...
She was really excited and wanted to do it all by herself. At one point she even held on with one hand and waved with the other hand. It was funny, Austin said she looked like a little rodeo queen.
Madelyn with her cousin Gracie riding the bear statue.
This was at the end of a very long day, and one last attempt to get the girls together for a photo...they wouldn't let go of their moms, so don't mind the exhausted, hugely pregnant person in the photo.

Wonderful Mother's Day...

I know this is a little late, but I haven't had one second to post recently. My Mother's Day was a great day this year. Ty is not one for gifts, but is very thoughtful. This year, he surprised me with breakfast in bed. I took a picture because the way he presented it was neat. He says the eggs were supposed to represent rays of sunshine with the cheese strips and then he made waffles with three different dipping sauces, and strawberries to top it off. Then he gave me a pampering morning...fortunately he didn't have bishopric meetings, which was a gift in of itself. He let me soak in the tub, filed my heels and massaged my feet, then clipped, filed, and painted my toenails (since they're a little hard to reach now with the protruding belly). The rest of the day he took good care of me and let me relax doing dishes and watching over Madelyn. I love being a mom, and am excited for baby number two to come. Thanks Ty and Madelyn for a wonderful day!

Look who got into mommy's lipstick...

Madelyn, of course. I always know something's up when it gets a little too quiet in the house, which is what happened last night as I was making dinner. I couldn't help but laugh and snap a few photos.

Kids Say the Darndest Things...

We went to Thanksgiving Point's Farm Country a few days ago with some friends. Madelyn loved riding the horse and didn't want to get off. After prying her off, she was saying, "Again, again!". Then as we were walking out of the area, one of the horses was peeing. Madelyn said, "Mommy, dripping water." I thought that was pretty funny. Unfortunately my camera batteries were dead and I didn't get any photos of the trip, but we had a good time and will definitely be back because we bought a annual pass for all of Thanksgiving Point to keep us busy this summer.
