Fabulous Photo Shoot!

A friend in my neighborhood offered to take some pictures of the girls. I am really pleased with how they turned out. She did a great job! Here are just a few of my favorites. Thanks again Cynthia!

Audrey Lane has arrived!

Our little girl has arrived. She was born on Sunday, July, 13th at 1:29 pm weighing in at 7 lbs. 6 oz. and was 20 in. long. She has been such a good baby and has been very tolerant of her older sister Madelyn who has struggled a little this past week to understand why the attention has to be divided between her and her sister now. Everyday she gets a little better, and each day becomes a little less stressful as a mother of two. Ty and I are pretty worn out, but it is all worth it because we adore our little Audrey. Here are a few pictures.

The Angel Moroni is Up

Yesterday, Madelyn and I went with my mom to my dad's jobsite (the Oquirrh Mountain Temple) to witness the 30,000 lb. spire and the angel Moroni go up on the temple with the help of two cranes. Despite the long wait and the wind, it was a neat experience to be there when it all took place. There were several hundred people to witness it along with channel 2 news with reporters on the ground and in the air. Baby on the Brain

With only 6 days until my induction, I got reminiscing about Madelyn when she was born. I was so emotional when I delivered, that when I held her for the first time I was crying looking at her thinking, "How could my husband and I be blessed with such a beautiful little baby." She was such a cute little thing, and hardly made a peep those first few weeks. She is so full of energy and gives us a run for our money now, but oh how we love her. We can't wait for her to meet her new little sister. Here are a few pictures from when she was born.

Our 4th of July

Normally we spend time with family on holidays, but my parents were going out of town and all of our siblings were doing things with their in-laws, so Ty and I decided to do our own thing and the day turned out to be really fun. We started out the day by going to the annual Brighton Breakfast up Big Cottonwood Canyon. The singles' ward that Ty and I met in is the ward that puts it on, so we thought we would take Madelyn back to our roots. The food is average, but the atmosphere is fun. You're in the mountains and they have a little parade and live music. It brought back a lot of memories. We then headed to Cottonwood Heights Recreation Center to swim at the outdoor pool. Then that night we went to our favorite burger place, JCW's, which is conveniently down the street from us now, and had a burger, cheese fries, and a shake. I highly recommend it. Then finally we went to our friends house to watch the Thanksgiving Point fireworks. It was a great show, except for the 30 minutes it took us to get just 2 miles home. Overall, we had a great time celebrating the 4th, and being the last holiday we'll celebrate as a family of 3!
